Example of Medium of Exchange

In the present era, money serves as medium of exchange. Various forms of money serve as medium of exchange such as paper notes, coins and chequable deposits. In the barter system, commodity money served as medium of exchange where commodities where exchanged for each other. But, in present sense of medium of exchange, we cannot regard them as medium of exchange because neither they have a standard value nor they are generally accepted.
