In this assignment I will evaluate the claim that British Identity is always defined by its relationship to other places. This essay will evaluate Britain’s national identity which has evolved over time and what being British actually is. Statements about Britishness can sometimes get people to act in a certain way. I will present balanced arguments that will demonstrate my ability to think critically on the topic. I will not think too narrowly on the topic and will challenge any claims made in an analytical context. The main task from this assignment is to present an argument. Why do some people agree with the claim and why do some disagree. The vital thing is to not give my opinion. The aim is to express the social science argument expressed in the claim.
