ESSAY B (Based on The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin)

B1.Franklin’s Autobiography may be read as a sort of “How-to-Succeed” manual for other Americans of his day and after. How does Franklin teach that others that could one rise to economic success? What traits does he identify as leading to prosperity and success?
Is there evidence in the Autobiography to suggest that Franklin considered true success as something beyond personal financial gain.

Every student will be required to write one essay of approximately 5 typed double-spaces pages (about 250 words per page) in length, answering an essay question by analyzing and interpreting the contents of the relevant primary historical source.
