2. Windy Hill Farm is a small commercially run organic mixed sheep and dairy farm on the southern fringes of the Peak District National Park,
with around 74 ha of land, of which approximately 50 ha would be considered grazing land, with the remainder being given over to silage
production.
3. The Farms 100 dairy cows are generally grazed on the flatter ground at the southern end of the farm, with the 2,000 sheep being grazed on the
higher ground.
4. A report for Windy Hill Farm has been written which outlines an action plan to address the farmer’s concerns regarding greenhouse gas
emissions; however, the farm also wishes to ensure that his wider environmental and sustainability performance is also maximised.
