In this assignment, the author is going to explore on how some benefit and others lose on a street that she knows comparing with what she  have learnt from the Making Social Lives DVD and the Learning Companion.

Wellingborough Road in Northampton commonly known as the Welly Road is the street that the author is going to write about. In light of the study materials the author has studied, it has clearly shown that Welly Road and City Road are very similar in so many ways. Welly Road is a very busy road with lots of corner shops, restaurants and take-away, African shops, Tesco and Sainsbury express. In Welly Road, the corner shop and other Asian shops owners are losers due to the competition from Tesco and Sainsbury.
