Early Words
If you are a parent, discuss the early words of your child/children. Did they use vocables; what was their first word; did they have trouble with any sound; did they say “cute” things; etc? Analyze these examples using the text and chapter notes as a guide.
If you are not a parent but can answer the questions above regarding a sibling, niece, nephew or a friend’s child, do so. Otherwise, discuss the importance of early interactions to language development.

To receive full credit, you must respond thoroughly to the topic and also respond to at least one other classmate’s posting.
