Development of emotions occurs between the times that someone is born and when they come to the end of adolescence. Whilst being a baby and all the way through adolescence to adulthood, humans observe the people around them and the emotions they show, how they show them and when they are shown. Children also learn to understand whether emotions are positive or negative ones such as someone showing happiness or sadness.
Theorists such as Piaget suggested that activities such as thinking evolves in four stages, he explained this through the cognitive-developmental Theory.(p 37)…(short extract)
