1. Examine the description of Hillside Farm, including the environmental issues that have been reported and local sensitivities and features of

the area.
2. Examine the activities taking place on the farm (incl. the crop nutrition and crop protection programmes for individual crops – amongst
other resources, it is suggested that you make use of RB209 and the PPDB website – http://sitem.herts.ac.uk/aeru/ppdb/en/) and determine which

activities may be contributing to the identified issues (including checking for any breaches in regulations).
3. Identify suitable mitigation options to address the water quality issues that have been reported.
4. Formulate these options into a management action plan for the coming year for the farm, and explain how each action will help mitigate the

water quality issues identified.
