Part 1 – Table 1 provides quantitative data obtained through the method of Census, done in national parks in England and Wales in 2011.

In the table, the first thing I notice is the huge population of Southdowns national park. Southdowns has the largest population of all of the parks by far. Out of 112,343 people, 104,232 are white British. The other 8,111 people are mainly of Asian ethnicity, predominantly Chinese and Asian Other, there are also some people of Black ethnicity and some Gypsies. One anomaly I can find is that Southdowns is the most popular park for Gypsies and Irish Travellers, which has 247 inhabitants, compared to Northumberland where there are none at all. Southdowns also has the most White Irish residents, there are 759 living there, not closely followed by 190 people in the New Forest.
