Within the topic of motivation, there have been different theories created in attempt to explain how motivation works. The majority of the theories fall into two different categories, i.e. content theories and process theories. It is the theories of Abraham Maslow and Frederick Herzberg that I will be comparing and contrasting. Although they fall under the same category, they do however have differences. Additionally, I intend to apply these theories to how they may actually be used and applied by managers to utilize with staff.
