I would like to introduce an article below, the biological function of consciousness. PDF is attached. My review is also attached.

My Review:
Based on Module 2 readings of Behavioral decision making, how we react and respond emotionally, and how we process information which is influenced to sway our decisions altering our best possible outcome. It is imperative that we have rational decision making process even though our biological factors have us hardwired to process information a certain way. It is not absolute but it does help us understand why we do what we do.
This article discusses the biological function of one’s consciousness to have a “flexible response mechanism (FRM) in relation to decision making, planning, and responding in non-automatic ways.” (Earl, 2014). How we respond using FRM has an impact on our intentional thoughts influencing our decisions, actions, and our future plans. We tend to manipulate our logic, our own hard facts to persuade ourselves to remain in bias acts, which these acts are part of our subconscious neural processes. However, through our experiences we control our actions, thinking constructively, and analyze information to be more self-aware/consciousness of our decisions. In essence, we are wired to think a certain way, react in impulse but if we weigh all of our options and scenarios, we would have a less biased response to making decisions which would essentially provide us a best outcome.
