Theodore Adorno was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1903, and his family’s wealth and cultural interests allowed him to partake in the finer aspects of life from an early age. Both his mother and his sister were successful and accomplished musicians and it was from them that he received his initial training and encouragement in his life-long love for music.
