Applications

The main application of general linear model appears in the analysis of brain scans in scientific experiments in the form of matrix where Y matrix contains data from brain scanners and X matrix consists of experimental design variables that are to be computed. This is usually tested in a univariate way and it is referred to as statistical parametric mapping in the terms of GLM.
