Project description
Research in depth a prominent American woman (1609-died mid 20th Century) who made a significant contribution to improving the image and/or life of women in any area of your interest (you may not use celebrities). Your critical analysis will focus on her life and time, factors and steps that contributed to the recognition of the need for this accomplishment, impact during her lifetime, obstacles overcome, and the ongoing importance of her achievement. You must also include at least one primary source as a resource. A suggested list of topics will be provided by the instructor. If students choose a woman not on the list it must be approved by the instructor.
