Vocational Assessment

This assignment will reqire you to condut a career assessment interview, using an informal intake form assessment and administer at least three different assessments measuring the same

individual and write a report. On one of the assessment was the SDS Self- Directed Search his results where ERC= Enterprising , realistic and Conventional. The other Test given was the career

Beliefs Inventory here you could explain how intense this test was to evaluate and possibly go into a few details of the results based on what you read from the intake I will attach because i do

not have the results for this assessment and the other assessments was the Career Factor inventory my clients result was on informational pattern.

Client is seeking outside opinion on how to further his career within the construction industry. No Longer wants to be apart of the labor due to the impact that it has on my body.
Client’s goal is to be a Sight Safety Manager (oversee all construction sights, make sure all employees have proper equipment, all licenses are updated for construction sight as well as

construction workers) Most importantly you must drive.

What is your goal for today and what would you like to accomplish overall from participating in career counseling?
Client would like to leave with overcoming his fears of learning to work with a computer and his fear of driving. Constructive. Client understands this will be the only way he can further his career

The client is part of an organization that is called Positive Work Force.  His Role in this organization is to support and advise one of the leaders of the organization.    Another goal for my client is

to further his career to then guide other people to get jobs in an industry that’s extremely racist and very competitive.

Tell me about your job history as far back and as much as you can remember. Include the reasons for taking the job as well as the job satisfaction and reason for leaving?
Door Man Three Years 1999-2002, walked off the job.
Client felt confident walking out I had the ability to be more involved in a job, socially and be passionate about my job.
Never worked as a young adult due to poor decision making in career choices.

Let’s talk about your present job. What do you like about it, dislike about it, things you could change if you could, tasks that you do that you are well suited for, and task that your asked to do

that you’re not?
Likes about jobs:  outside, work freely, its not micro managed, work with the crew
Dislikes: Weather, raining, snowing, Heat
Task: depends on the job.  Client explains everyday I have a new task, one day we can be putting in wood, digging a 4 to 5 foot holes, etc…

What do you feel are your strengths and weakness as a person? They can be both general and/or specific.
Strengths: Responsible, punctual, people skills, flexible, tolerant, compassionate, caring, understanding, excellent communicator, open to new ideas and change.
Weaknesses: Client explains he is very kind to his co-workers and does more than he should, kindness, bad temper at times (when something does not feel right),

Perfect Day: everyone is safe; accomplish the construction goals we set out for that day

Client will commit to taking a 6month computer-training course to learn Microsoft Office.

Client will commit to taking the 40hour course on-line to become a Sight Safety Manager.

I will refer client to hypnosis to obtain a clear understating of his panic for driving.

Today client will leave with all the information required to start the process of his career goals.

Client will call to set up a follow up appointment after he has already registered for the computer program as well as seeing taking his driving permit.
