This philosophy paper should involve examining various educational and curriculum philosophies over at least the past 100 years, as indicated in the Glatthorn text, and comparing and contrasting these theories, movements, and philosophies to come to some conclusions about what you personally believe about education and how it should be delivered via the curriculum.
You will then write about how you came to those conclusions, what you believe and why, substantiating it with research and how you think education and the curriculum should be delivered. You should be able to refer to several theories and how they might fit together to serve the needs of education as you see it. I want to know what you think about the field, what we should be teaching and how. The assignment is not to describe or report on one theory or movement. This is a paper in which you should use critical thinking and demonstrate your ability to analyze and synthesize information and material.
