The font has to be 12 point and single placed. the font needs to be cambria ( legal font I beleive its cambria not sure will find out) I will need a draft in 7-10 days and maybe more. the professor wants to track progress. may add suggestions may not.

Thesis Guidelines. This professor is a stickler. Need all this followed to the tee.
“Specific Thesis Requirements – Please post that you have the following and that you understand and will follow the requirements.

There are two components to a great thesis: great content and great format/style. I will review the content of each thesis and I will make appropriate recommendations regarding the content of your thesis.
I am also a stickler on format and citations. I require that you follow the format that you will see in the model thesis of Dr. Thomas Gionis (see Course Materials module). Format also includes grammar, citation style, margins, spelling, punctuation, correct footnote style etc.
Specific format requirements:
1. Do not use bold or underline in the text or the footnotes unless the citation format requires it.
2. Do not use ‘bullets’ or ‘arrows’ to itemize – use only letters or numbers as used in the Table of Contents.
3. There must be a title page with your contact information.
4. The Table of Contents must begin on a new page. The Table of Contents must use Roman numerals, then letters, e.g., A, B, then numbers and so on. The pages of the thesis must be numbered and the page numbers must be in the Table of Contents. The Roman numerals, letters, numbers must also be placed in the text at the respective locations.
5. All headings and sub-headings in the text must be flush left in the text.
6. The thesis must have an Introduction, an Abstract, a Recommendations section, a section titled ‘Future Areas of Research’ and Conclusions. Each must begin on a new page. A bibliography is required.
7. Do not use any color in the thesis.
8. The first draft must use correct grammar, format, correct citation style etc. or I will not look at it and your grade will reflect it.
9. Every footnote must end with a period. All footnotes must follow the Blue Book to the letter. No exceptions!! Use only footnotes – NO endnotes.
10. Your thesis must be in WORD only and in Times New Roman 12.
11. In your thesis, I want to see that you have presented or multiple points of view on the issues in the thesis and that you have come to a logical and reasoned conclusion.
12. I will need to approve your thesis topic before you begin work on your thesis.

13. REMEMBER THAT THE THESIS MUST BE DONE IN TEN WEEKS! START EARLY!!
Each thesis must be a minimum of forty pages single-spaced and there must be a minimum of 125 footnotes. A bibliography is required. The Blue Book (An Uniform System of Citation) must be followed at all times.
After I approve your topic, you will post it and then later post a multi-sentence description of the topic. You will then conduct your research strategy and post your outline (Table of Contents) and later a rough draft for critique. I will be pleased to review and critique multiple rough drafts as long as it takes but I do require that all drafts meet minimum standards on format – that way, we can concentrate on content.
