Assignment Information
You will be collecting, selecting, reflecting and connecting artifacts that demonstrate your competenciesfor the university’s general education learning goals and your capacities for lifelong learning. This process will be done within your SNHUfoliousing electronic software (Chalk & Wire). The assignmentwill draw upon the artifacts you have stored in your Chalk & Wirelibrary while at SNHU in addition to evidence from your previous academic, co-curricular and work/life experience. This process is designed to encapsulate and highlight your strengths to support you in your development of your professional development strategy and your lifelong learning plan, and to assist you in your interactions with decision-makers, such as human resources officers and admissions personnel. YourSNHUfolio will be shared with classmates, colleagues and mentors at the end of the semester.
SNHUfolio Organization
As a student in SNHU 404 you will be using the SNHUfolioyou created for SNHU 303. If you were not enrolled in SNHU 303, you will be creating your SNHUfolioin class. You will also SHAREyour SNHUfolio with your SNHU 404 instructor. This e-portfolio has numerous pages on it. You will find the following pages in the table of contents in the SNHU 404 section of your SNHUfolio. These pages represent the habits of lifelong learners:

• Habit 1: Begin with the end in mind
• Habit 2: Accept responsibility for your own learning
• Habit 3: View problems as challenges
• Habit 4: Have confidence in yourself as a competent, effective learner
• Habit 5: Create your own learning toolbox
• Habit 6: Use technology to your own advantage
• Habit 7: Teach/mentor others
• Habit 7-1/2: Play!
There are additional areas of your SNHUfolio. You also will be using the General Education Learning Goals area for this assignment. The General Educating Learning Goals are organized in the following manner:

Each of these pages in your SNHUfolio contains a description of the habit or goal. You will upload a minimum of one artifact to each habit and each learning goal.

Required Activities & Content
1. You will upload a minimum of oneartifact into each Habit within the SNHU 404area of your SNHUfolio. In addition, you will provide a brief description (paragraph)of how your selected artifact demonstrates your experiencewith the Habit. For this requirement you will need to:
• Click on each page of the 7-1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learning area within the SNHU 404section of your SNHUfolioto familiarize yourself with eachhabit.
• Select an artifact that demonstrates your experience in using that habit.
• Write a brief reflection (paragraph) on how the assignment or activity connects to the competency.
2. In the General Education Learning Goals area you will upload a minimum of one artifact into each Learning Goal of your SNHUfolio: Knowledge of Human Cultures and the Physical & Natural World; Collaboration; Communication; Critical and Creative Thinking; Integration, Application and Reflection; Personal and Social Responsibilities.
In addition, you will provide a brief description (paragraph) of how your selected artifact demonstrates your achievement and/or experience with the Learning Goal.For this requirement you will need to:
• Click on each learning goal to familiarize yourself with the General Education Learning Goals.
• Select an assignment or artifact that you have completed that demonstrates your achievement in that area.
• Write a brief reflection (paragraph) on how the assignment or activity connects to the learning goal.
The artifacts can be a document, PowerPoint presentation, photo, video, URL linking to a blog, or other form that demonstrates your experience and/or achievement with the habit or learning goal. Your artifacts might be appropriate for more than one of the areas to which you are mapping. You may use an artifact for no more than two areas of your SNHUfolio. However, each reflection must be unique to the area you are mapping. In naming the artifacts take care that the name accurately represents the content.
3. At the end of the term, you will be sharing your SNHUfolio with classmates, colleagues and mentors. The presentation will be similar to a poster session. Details, including dates, will be forthcoming.
Though we are devoting lab time in class towards your completion of this assignment, you should consider starting work on this assignment early in the term: collect artifacts that you think will be applicable to the habits and learning goals, and upload them into your Chalk & Wire library. As you progress through the term, you can start to select those artifacts which seem most relevant to the habits and learning goals and reflect on their connection on the appropriate page.
