In a widespread attempt to deal with the issue of harassment, Egyptian men have been forming vigilante groups to attack and humiliate the harassers, in the hope that these tactics would discourage and thwart further attacks on women. While their reaction is understandably noble, to what extent is it right to take the law into ones hands? After reading about superheroes and vigilantes, argue for or against their actions. Discuss how the concept of the ?hero? or ?superhero? may have implications that go beyond the obvious ?good? as you examine why such heroes pursue justice and seek to defend/ protect the helpless. While the desire to overcome an ?evil? is natural, is it right to do so while operating outside the spectrum of the ?law??
