This module provides an opportunity for further specialisation in corporate responsibility, taking into consideration the global responsibility agenda promoted by organisations such as the UN Global Compact and EFMD. The module invites students to critically assess the role and obligations of companies and business leaders in a global stakeholder society and the moral and ethical implications of operating in global environments. The role of business in relation to the ‘global common good’ and the scope for business leaders to ‘act as agents for world change’ are amongst some of the themes that will be explored.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the module the student should be able to:
Critically analyse the value and importance of Corporate Global Responsibility in contemporary business settings and assess its implications for organisational culture and leadership (PLO03)
Analyse the ethical and moral dimensions of leadership and management in global business settings (PLO02)
Situate their own learning (and life experiences) within any work experience to achieve a better understanding of themselves as people and future leaders/managers
Think logically, critically and reflectively: Students are required to critically examine, assess and evaluate the concept of CGR and its implications for leadership. (PLO4)
Work Independently and effectively with others in a professional manner: through completion of the assessment which involves a substantial, self-managed project. (PLO5)
Communicate effectively in writing and through presentations: seminars and assignments will involve the preparation of written and verbal tasks. (PLO6)
