Paper instructions:
Policy Report- Students will choose a social welfare issue that is being addressed by policy, preferably an issue that the Florida State Legislature or US Congress is addressing. The student will then research the issue to determine: [1] the nature of the problem and the extent of the problem; [2] what is currently being done to address the issue in terms of policy; [3] what is the proposed policy solution (yours or current legislative proposal) for addressing the issue; and what are the outcomes of the proposed measures to redress the issue. The student will write a policy report that addresses the components of the issue just enumerated.

The paper should be no less than 6 pages and no more than 10 pages (includes Cover page & Reference page; no Abstract). It must be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font with 1” margins. Use of citations to support arguments, claimed facts, informed suppositions, and direct quotations are required. All citations must conform to APA guidelines. Due: 4/14/14
