respond to the question that is to be the focus of our final
meeting (Nov 29) before winter break: We began the term with the questions,
‘how can we see ourselves if we are ourselves?’ or ‘how can we think critically
about a society in which we are thoroughly immersed, by which we have been
socialized?’ Throughout the term we have engaged a variety of texts which have
provided us tools in our efforts to do this. Which text, of all those which
we’ve engaged this term, has best enabled to see yourself and/or understand
this society? Why?
