Assessment Condition:
1. Individual Project
2. Use Accounting Software Like (Peachtree) for GL and creating statements
3. MS Excel for creating the Budget
4. MS Word will be used to prepare the final report
5. Oral defence to assess individual knowledge and contribution
Marking Scheme:
The project is broken down into sections.It will be graded as a whole at the end of the semester.

Final Project

Instructions –Project Report [70%]
Develop a financial statement for an organization of your choice according to thefollowing specifications:

Part 1:
1. The Business Case (10 marks)
1.1 Company details: name, industry, type of business and target customers
1.2 Explain the importance of accounting to an organization
1.3 List the different accounting blocks used in that organization
1.4 Find out how does accounting equation apply in the organization

2. Financial statement (20 marks)
2.1 Do research and find out at-least 40 transaction of this organization
( related to revenue , expense, drawing, Loans and investment )
2.2 Make General Journal for these transactions using an accounting software
2.3 Prepare a Trial Balance for this organization using an accounting software
2.4 Prepare Financial Statements using an accounting software
2.5 Summarize the Accounting Cycle in your own words.

3. Budgeting (20 marks)
3.1 Explain the importance of Budgeting to an organization
3.2 Prepare a Cash Budget for the organization for at least two months
3.3 Summarize this budget in your own words.

4. Cost Volume Profit (20 marks)
4.1 Explain the importance of Managerial Accounting to the organization.
4.2 Prepare CVP statement
4.3 Do CVP analysis for the organization.
