Method (10% of final grade)
Directions: Write an APA-formatted Method section for your paper. This should adhere to the requirements discussed in the lecture. Include a description of the participants, a description of the materials, and a description of the procedure. It must contain enough detail to be replicated by another researcher.
1. Write Method section in Microsoft Word
a. Write an APA-style description of the how your experiment was conducted in detail.
b. How many participants? Descriptive information about participants, like age and gender.
c. What type of materials: Did you use a computer? If so, what make and model? What kind of computer program? what version? Be as specific as possible as if someone might want to replicate what you did exactly.
d. Describe how the procedure is conducted. How did you run the experiment for each participant? If you had multiple tests, did you do them in a specific order?
e. Option for Extra credit – worth 1pt on final grade: Describe how the data are recorded and data analysis. What test statistics would you run? Think about a particular question or effect you’re interested in to analyze.
2. Save your Method section as a Word Document with the file name “Method________.doc,” replacing the blank with your first & last initials.
