Safety in Public Places (as defined by US Legal): The roles of the Corporate organisation and the role of the individual members of staff
Paper instructions:
The Paper is a Safety Presentation to an organisation and it is not a presentation on Occupational Health and Safety alone but on the organizations responsibility towards the safety of persons in their public places including their staff. Also should include statistics such as “the average ratio of an organisation’s staff to the ratio of customers and visitors” as a case for highlighting the organization’s responsibilities to the general public.

…The Vision;
The idea now known as Robert’s Walk originated sometime in May 2008, through an event involving a young woman who in the process of carrying out a transaction with a public institution in Nigeria suffered a major slip and fall incident from an unprotected flight of steps.
In the course of her certainly tasking and traumatic journey to recovery, which included multiple surgical interventions and extensive physical therapy, a desire to prevent others from suffering similar experience was stirred. This desire led her to investigate the causes of public place accidents with a view to creating awareness for and promoting proactive preventive practices.
The motivation to explore the idea was further nurtured by the positive response of the institution to complaints made on the accident which eventually led to the implementation of recommended safety improvements and measures that could avert future occurrences in March 2009.
