Attached is a sample risk plan. On page 3, you’ll notice 5 elements of a risk management plan — planning, identification, analysis, mitigation, and monitoring/control. Thinking about your workplace (or if you don’t work, think about school or some place you’ve recently visited), follow the steps of planning, identifying, analyzing, mitigating, and controlling elements of risk and create a brief plan to demonstrate how you went through these steps. Please try to identify 3-5 potential risks for discussion in the plan.
For example, in a hospital a risk could be slippery floors at the front door, pharmacy errors, poorly trained staff, old equipment, etc. I would then walk through how I would plan to specifically identify them, how to deal the most severe, greatest impact, and/or highest occurring risks, an analysis of the risks, and how I would mitigate and control the risks, including who I would need involved
