Description: This is an essay assignment that report our progress of our final research. My research question is “How effective are the queer activisms in the struggle
for gay rights?” Research methods mentioned in class were interviews, observation, visual significants. You can write something like interviewing gay
friends of mine and how I did my observation in gay communities. I am specifically interested in the event called Seattle Pride, please draw on that as
well. What was the purpose of this event and how it turned out to be focusing on corporate affair. Be sure to meet the requirements for this essay.
Assignment Goals: 6:: In conjunction with the methods workshop, determine what methods will help you best to begin to answer and possibly revise your
research question; 6:: Appreciate how your methods reflect your theoretical or analytical framework; 6:: Understand how your research question shapes
your methods, and how your methods reshape your question and influence your choice of future research methods? 1. State clearly and specifically the
question that is guiding your research (it is fine if it has changed from earlier assignments, in fact it should be changing the more you think about it!). 2.
What are the results of your research so far? The majority of your essay should be devoted to what you have found as a result of your research. Convey
to your reader clearly and specifically what you have found. Lay out your findings and use evidence from your methods and literature searches to support 5
those findings. 3. Based on your findings, are there other research methods that you think you will use in the next phase of your research? 4. How has
your research question changed from doing this research? 5. As an appendix, include copies of photographs, drawings, maps or other artifacts used as
part of your methodology. If you conducted an interview, include a short section of your transcript. If you carried out participantéobservation, include one
short example of your observations 6 describe one event or observation made. 6. Cite all sources you used for this research in a bibliography. Include at
least 6 sources, one of which needs to be an academic article. You can make the interview part up so it favors the topic of this essay.
