Take two of the main themes that run through the book and explain how they relate to each other, and then further explain how they relate to present day. There are obviously several main themes that run through the book, including but not limited to race and race relationships(Chinese, Americans, Irish, etc.), immigration, business practices, business ethics, the relationship between business and government, etc. You should describe how any two of those themes related to each other in the book and in that time in American history, using the book as your main source.
