Compare/contrast Paul in “Paul’s Case” by Willa Cather and Connie in “Where Are You Going,

Where Have You Been?” by Joyce Carol Oates. Both are adolescents with some of the same issues.

How are they alike? How are they different? Does either of the two characters reach any kind of

epiphany (insight) at the end of their story? Are their two authors using them to make any of the

same points, or very different points?
