NEW AMERICAN INDIVIDUALISM
• Interview a subject; an American with mixed heritage whom you find “interesting”

• We will choose from a representative of professions (artist, businessman/woman, local politician, college student, musician, tattooist, doctor, teacher, high school student, etc.).

• Based on an interview protocol (set of questions) we will construct in class and based on a plan of observation, we will collect data and report on the interview, focusing on the theme of individualism, “patriotism”, and “globalism” in the “Age of Facebook”.

• In the Discussion section, discuss the themes of challenges, threats, opportunities of the new American; themes that we discussed in this course

.• Your essay/ report will have an Abstract, an Introduction, Body (Data, Observation, Notes, Data Analysis,) and Conclusion and Reflection.
