There is so many glitches in the bus system, although people think that buses are cleaner than the subway.
DIRECTIONS
Getting around the bus system is not as clear as getting around the subway system. There is no bus map on the buses, people don’t know where to stop, and sometimes they can’t even detect which bus they are on.
SAFETY
People feel safer on the bus because they are over ground and they can see where they are going. People feel like they can escape quicker from the bus if something were to happen.
PEOPLE
There is less people on the bus and they are not rushing as much as they are on the subway, so it’s easier to interact with them.
I JUST <3 THE BUS
Buses feel more homie and genuine.
PROXIMITY
In some areas it’s easier to take the bus than the subway because the subway doesn’t get there and the quickest option is the bus.
THE BUS STOP
The bus stop has unclear and not updated information and the feel unsafe because they don’t shelter people off from the traffic.

– Safety is an important factor.
– People choose the bus based on where it’s more convenience for them to do so.
– More people take the subway in general so other users follow. (Matter of habit and culture)
– There is not enough information pertaining the whole route experience.
-People are not certain whether they will get to a place on time or not. (No estimated time)
– People who take the bus do so because they fell more safe and they enjoy more being over ground rather than under it.
– People are generally hostile to the MTA.
– Buses feel less put together and less organized than the subway.
