Human resource management

For your final assessment you are required to complete the following:
Compete a report or induction booklet which presents in 800 words the key roles of an HR department, 800 words the key roles of an Finance department and in 800 words the key roles of an Marketing department. These 800 word sections should explain key terms, as an example, for HR:
• Define HRM with reference
• Outluine the meaning of HR Planning, with reference
• Outline the meaning of Recruitment, with reference
• Outline the meaning of Selection, with reference
• Outline the meaning of employee development, with reference
• Outline the meaning of employee relations, with reference
• Outline the meaning of performance management, with reference
For Marketing this may include:
• Define Marketing with reference
• Outluine the meaning of Marketing Planning, with reference
• Outline the meaning of Market Research with reference
• Outline the meaning of the Market Segmentation, with reference
• Outline the meaning of Target Marketing, with reference
• Outline the meaning of the Marketing Mix, with reference
For Finance and Accounting this may include:
• Define Finance and Accounting with reference
• Outline the sources of finance available to a business, with reference
• Outline the meaning of Cash Flow Planning with reference
• Outline the meaning of budgeting, with reference
• Outline the meaning of different financial statements, with reference
You then need to provide a discussion of why it is important for each of these three functions of business to work together in collaboration. It may be easier for you to provide this as an example, ie, give a scenario when marketing, finance and HR would work together to solve a business problem such as launching a new product or filling a job vacancy. This section should be around 500 words.
