McIntyre was working with a group of white middle/upper class student teachers (people studying to become teachers).  Many reflected on having a good childhood in a middle-class family and they wished their working-class and poor students could have lives like theirs.  What does McIntyre see as the problem in teachers wanting children to be like them, and in teachers seeing themselves as the right people to save the children?  How do those ideas relate to McIntyre arguing that  caring is not enough?
