For this assignment, your Canvas group should have an online discussion regarding the creation of a simple survey. Each person in the group should meaningfully

contribute to the discussion by posting two times.Here’s what’s expected:

Your first post is your “RQ and Survey” post. You should address the following:
•   Come up with your own research question specific to behaviors, attitudes, or beliefs of college students
o   Do not choose a topic that is personal or sensitive (e.g., anything involving sex, abuse, drug use, criminal records, etc)
•   Each person in the group needs to come up with their own research question!
•   Create five likert-type scale items that you would use to gather data from your participants to help you answer your research question. Be sure to explain what

the scale itself is.

For example:

My research question is “What are the dental hygiene habits of college students?” Participants would be given the choice of responding Never, Rarely, Often, Sometimes,

Usually, Always to the following five items:

1.   I brush my teeth each morning
2.   I brush my teeth before bed each night
3.   I floss at least once every day
4.   I use mouthwash at least once every day
5.   I use whitening products on a regular basis

Yoursecond post should be a reply to: My research question is, “What are the sleeping patterns and habits of college students?” Participants will be given the choice

of responding Strongly Disagree, Disagree, Somewhat Disagree, Somewhat Agree, Agree, Strongly Agree to the following items:
1. I sleep through the entire night without any disruptions.
2. I go to bed at a consistent time each night.
3. I fall asleep easily after going to bed (within 5-15 minutes of laying down).
4. I wake up feeling rested in the morning.
5. I can get through the entire day without feeling like I need to take a nap or feeling lethargic.

. You should give that reply constructive advice on how to improve their scale items. Consider the following:
•   Are there other items that could be included in the survey that would help answer their research question?
•   Could a different scale work better? For example, if they used “Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree,” would “Not Important to Very Important”bebetter?
•   If were asked to complete that person’s survey, do you think you would find it difficult to answer their questions? Why or why not?

I expect your responses to be well-written (no spelling or grammatical errors) and professional. Points will be deducted for poor quality.

10 pts = Posted two times; each post met the expectations outlined above; posts were meaningful and contributed to the discussion

8 pts = Posted two times; did not meet the expectations outlined above; not much contributed to the discussion

6 pts = Posted one time; the post met the expectations outlined above; post was meaningful and contributed to the discussion

4 pts = Posted once; the post did not meet the expectations outlined above; not much contributed to the discussion
