Why: Part of your education and training in Information Technology is staying abreast of the new “happenings” in IT on

(at least) a weekly basis. If we don’t read about technological advances and progress, we will be left behind or even be

“road kill” in technology. As an IT student in any of our ITE, ITD, ITP, and ITN courses, you must get used to reading

about current events in technology.

What: For this assignment, you will do a 1-page paper. The paper will be an opinion paper. Your job will be to discuss the

importance of an article related to IT that you will choose. However, how you choose the article is not up to you. Instead,

you will choose from a selection of articles that I will post for you during this unit.

The assignment: for this assignment, select two articles of interest to you POSTED AFTER SEPTEMBER 11 IN MY BLOG.

Discuss why they are of interest to you and to the IT community. Why is what is being discussed important? What are

the consequences, if any? Don’t short-change me. Give me a solid 1 page of opinion and (perhaps) research, if you so

desire. You can only choose from the articles I have blogged about. Late assignments will not be accepted. This

assignment is worth 40 points.
