Final Paper Page Length: 14-16 pages plus Annotated Bibliography
Directions: Remember that the focus of this class is on questions in the Sciences or Business. Choose one:
A. A literature Review of the issues and trends in a given area of research. http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/literature-reviews/
B. An Academic Research Paper: either an Argumentative Paper in which you propose the solution to a problem based on research and development of an idea, or an Analytical Paper in which you evaluate a theory or process based on its merits, research done, and competing theories or processes.
Both options need to be written in a modified version of the IMRAD organization. Option A, for example, is essentially I, R and D (Intro, Results, and Discussion) since the Methodology is simply the act of reading the research of others.
Your research will have to include at least 10 reliable sources of primary or secondary evidence. In addition, you will need to write an Annotated Bibliography and cite your sources in APA style : https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/614/03/
Grading: The paper will be graded on the standard 4.0 scale with attention paid to grammar, organization, clarity, and use of APA format. Your proposal, final paper, annotated bibliography, and presentation are all separately graded parts of this project as outlined in the course syllabus.
