Answer the following Forum Question:
After reviewing the history of intelligence, what events have had a profound impact on U.S. intelligence today?
The United States has a relatively short history with intelligence being a key component of national security. However, several historical events (including failures) have had profound impact on current U.S. intelligence. A few events that you should notice would be the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World War I and II, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and September 11, 2001.
