You learned the history of Greek Theatre in the beginning of the trimester. We discussed the past

and how it affected modern theatre today. You learned how to apply the techniques in your own

scene work in class. Write about the history of Greek Theatre. Here are some questions you can use

as starting points for your reflection:

? What techniques did the Greeks use to perform on stage? Applying gestures, voice projection and

masks to perform, how did the actors use these in Ancient Greece?
? What type of theatre did they perform in and how did this affect the performers and the

audience? How many actors were there? Were women allowed to perform?
? What theatre terms do we use today that we learned from the Greeks?
? Think about the history of theatre and where it all began. How has theatre changed since then?
