Greek and Roman Mythology

This is my last essay for a term which is worth 40 % in general. Please try to do it better, since professor is very picky person .

so he have us 2 topics and we are allowed to pick up the one that we like . This is what he says:

"Choose One of the following topics.The essay should be approximately 800 words (although I will
accept up to 1000 words). In each essay make sure to identify relevant primary sources and historical
dates (where appropriate). Each essay must also include discussion of ONE critical point."
1)Imagine that you are a poet living in ancient Greece and you are sponsored to write an epic poem
which narrates the adventures of a hero in a new way (but you must keep the basic elements of the
myth intact). Which hero do you choose and what changes would you make and why?
2). One problem with Greek myth is that the focus on the aristocratic class: most gods and heroes
come from, and through their associations and actions seek to uphold, aristocrats. To what extent
is this statement true?
