Globalization
The purpose of appointing discussion leaders is to give students the opportunity to do a “deeper dive” into a reading they select and to develop discussion management and questioninging skills.

Your objectives will be to:

Select at least one (possible 2 or 3 if they relate) meaningful and relevant reading.
Present a summary of the reading to the class (similar to what would be done for the weekly summaries).
Lead a discussion on the topic by relating your topic/theme to others and to the 4 functional business pillars.
Ask the class at least five (5) open-ended (i.e. NOT yes/no) questions to stimulate discussion, debate, etc.
Be creative in your approach — you can use other methods such as debates, structured controversies, etc.
Post your selected reading and the questions for the class to the discussion forum 1 WEEK PRIOR to when you are scheduled to lead the discussion. Last minute posts are not acceptable.
When you wind down your discussion tomorrow, can you please write up a short summary of the important points that you think came out of the discussion, such as opinions, arguments, ideas, etc. See if you can tie your topic to others covered as well. This makes for a good review/study piece for everyone and formalizes that your discussion is over.
