What is play Therapy
Children with autism find it hard to relate with others. Children whom are suffering from this disorder are unable to create and sustain relationships with others. They are perceived not to engage actively in playing with others since they lack social skills. In Saudi Arabia most of parents when they accept that their child has Autism, they face another problem which is teach that child social skills and Language skills.
Many studies conducted by scholars have concluded that play can be used to develop social and language skills to an autistic child. Also, they have listed the strategies which when used to train an autistic child to play, the child is likely to develop both social and language skills. They start by learning the basic term used in the play. Computer games are also useful at making the autistic child acquire language and social skills. Most of the plays that develop language in autistic child also develop social skills.
However, with those children, working with them threw specific plan with some games and toys can helps to see how play therapy can affect there learning. I hope the topic that I chose for my research can helps me to make a good plan for autistic kids when I go back to my country.
