Choose one specific Asian popular cultural product (e.g. blockbuster or horror films, TV drama, pop songs) and critically analyse the characteristics, cultural specificity, and local and global significance of the product and how and why it has changed when transplanted into other cultures. Your essay should include one or more examples of the specific popular cultural product. Do NOT write about Japanese manga or anime, as these are comprehensively dealt with in other units.
