Education

Select a child aged 3 – 5 years.  Spend at least 1/2 hour observing this child.  The child is to be observed during a “free play” in a group setting.

This assignment consists of 7 sections:

1.    Setting: A description of the setting.
2.    Child: A description of the child.
3.    Outline:  of your observation.  ( a summary of what was seen in outline form.)

4.    Running observation.  (Detailed, word by word description of what was seen.)
5.    Summary 3 major areas of development (based on what you observed)
a.    Biosocial Development
b.    Cognitive Development
c.    Social/Emotional Development
6.    Conclusions.
7.    Personal feelings.
