Aims:

To assess the environmental and social impact of tourism development in Lijiang Old Town and Yulong Snow Mountain. Upon understanding the impacts, appropriate strategies will be developed to provide environmental and social sustainability for the two destinations.

Objectives:

1. Assess the scope of tourism development in Lijiang Old Town and Yulong Snow Mountain.

2. Analyze the social and environmental impacts tourism has created in Lijiang Old Town and Yulong Snow Mountain. (Social impacts only focus on Lijiang Old Town, Environmental impacts focus on Yulong Snow Mountain)

3. Consider existing sustainable tourism strategies that are used to sustain tourism destinations in similar situations to Lijiang Old town and Yulong Snow Mountain.

4. Develop appropriate sustainable tourism that benefit the social and environment of Lijiang Old Town and Yulong Snow Mountain (Make recommendations about the sustainable development strategy on these two places)
