“As our company’s long term strategy is to become one of the world class, integrated asphalt solution provider by 2020, we plan to implement several tools to ensure that our businesses are

steered toward that direction. In particular, management accounting and control systems, prior to 2008, we have not focused much on using these tools but the changes came when we

formulated our 5-year strategy toward 2015 that we began to implement some of basic MA tools. For instance, in 2009 we introduced the concept of Balance Score Card (BSC) to constantly

monitor and drive performances of each business units. Meanwhile, we also introduced KPI setting as primary tools for performance goal setting and measuring staffs’ performance.”
