This assignment will allow you to begin to articulate what skills you have, and understand develop

After reading Chapter 2 in your textbook, you gained understanding of the idea of transferable skills, motivated skills, and self-management skills.

In class, you began to think about, create lists of skills, and look at where and how you gained these skills. Also, you learned that having a Growth Mindset (Eduardo ted talk video) is needed for the growth of you new skills.

In class, you used the Eureka website,(directions on Blackboard if you missed it) micro skills card sort assessment, to rate72 skills into the appropriate satisfaction category for yourself. From this information you found out which occupations correlated with your skills card sort choices.

Answer these questions to demonstrate your understanding.
1. (10 points) From reading chapter 2, working on the Eureka microskills card sort and thinking about your own (projects, hobbies, family experiences, club or team experiences, jobs, courses etc…) experiences, list:

a) 5 skills that you have developed

b) For each of these 5 skills that you listed in part (a), write how you developed the skill, that is, what activity you did which allowed you to develop the skill. You should be able to say that doing this activity you demonstrated the skill of …. or, you showed evidence of having the skill of…

2. (2 points)Choose and list four of the occupations from your list of occupations that correlated to your results from the Eureka microskills card sort.

3.(1point) Choose and list one of the occupations that you listed in question 2.
4.(3 points) List 3 important skills that are needed for the occupation you listed in question 3. (research this from the websites and job descriptions)
5.(4 points) Choose two of the skills that you listed in question 4 and list an activity (for example, it could be a specific course or specific volunteer work) for each of those 2 skills that you could participate in, to be able to develop each of the 2 skills.
