Guidelines:
1. Who is the Author?
2. Why did the author write the book?
3. What is the author trying to prove?
4. What is your opinion of the book? Did you like or
dislike it?
Remember. you are writing a book review, not a book report.

Do not spend too much time and space retelling what the author
has presented in his/her book. Summarize the author’s
arguments. cite examples of the evidence that he or she uses.
evaluate his or her argument. and then evaluate the book.

Style: Do not use plastic covers or other fancy folders. Do not
use a title or cover page. Type your paper. double space it. and
use a one inch margin on both sides; top and bottom of each
page. Place your name on the upper right hand comer of each
page of your paper; include the course name and section.

spelling, grammar. organization, format. and content. Your first
