The narrative of Acts creates a picture of the early Church and how the early Christians lived as
part of the faith community. In two (2) to three (3) well developed paragraphs,
 create a word picture of what the Church of today would look like if Christians
were to follow the example set by the early Christians described in Acts.

would or would not fit within the Church.

 What does it mean to live in freedom from the Law but in subjection to the
law of Christ?
 What are some examples of expressions of legalism today?

 First Timothy instructs the church that in order to be a ?pillar of truth? there must be a wellordered
church with officials- bishops, elders and deacons are mentioned. What is the reason
for this instruction? Why is it important for the church to have an organizational structure? Is
there a parallel between order in the church and order in the Christian life?
 Hebrews encourages Christians toward faithfulness, maturity of faith and endurance. The writer
of Hebrew names men and women who were given promises by God but did not live to see
those promises fulfilled. What is the writer telling the followers of Christ about faith, suffering
and hope? What is the message to the believer?
 First John tells us to ?love one another; for love is from God; everyone who loves is born of
God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.? (4:7-8)
Does a person?s love for others reflect God?s presence in an individual?s life? Can God be
present in an individual?s life regardless of the person?s attitude about religion? Explain.
 The book of Revelation dramatizes a world where good triumphs over evil. In your opinion, is
this book a prediction of current or future event? Explain and give specific recent past events
and/or current events examples to illustrate your response.
