There are two tasks
Read the two scenarios carefully and carry out research in to both of them.
Task 1

Scenario

Mrs Jean Bates owned a number of properties that she let. She decided to buy a small terraced house in Welwyn Garden City. The house was in need of refurbishment and was occupied. The vendors of the house assured Mrs Bates that the tenant, a Mrs Pickering, was very reliable.
Mrs Bates bought the house only to discover Mrs Pickering was in arrears with the rent and about to be declared bankrupt.
Mrs Bates also bought plot of land near Clacton-on-Sea on which she intended to build a house with swimming pool. The contract she signed stated that the land was sold subject to any existing liabilities over it and that the vendor had a duty to disclose any they knew of. The vendor stated that as far as they knew there were no existing liabilities. About 5 years later and just as she was about to start building, Mrs Pickering discovered a sewer crossing the plot that meant she could not build a swimming pool.
Write a report advising Mrs Pickering. The word count for your report is 1000 words.

Task 2
Scenario 2
The college Ollie attended had an outdoor swimming pool. One night Ollie and some friends decided to take a midnight swim. They returned to the college, climbed over the gates and headed for the pool. The pool was surrounded by a seven foot fence. Ollie climbed over the fence and jumped into the pool which had been drained. He broke his neck and is paralysed from the neck down.

Ollie blames the college for his injuries.

Write a report advising Ollie. The word count for your report is 1000 words.
