RE: Court Visit Assignment and Instructions

The best time to learn about the court system is when you are not an active participant in the judicial process. As part of your class learning, you are to make two (2) court visits during the School Quarter. You can choose any court you wish to visit, but you may not go to both Small Claims and Traffic Court as your two court visits.
The court you go must be near San Francisco of California, you can chose Santa Clara superior court or the court of San Francisco,but the location can not far than 100 miles of San Francisco or Santa Clara of California.

Assignment for your court visit:

1. What was the proper name of the court?
2. Where was the court located?
3. Who was the presiding judge in the case?
4. What department was the court in?
5. Who were the other officers in the court room and give a brief description of what they do.
6. Give a brief summary of what the case or court session was all about.
7. Identify five (5) things that you learned from the court visit and for each of the items, explained what you learned. Please have a separate paragraph for each item.
8. Get a copy of that court’s calendar of cases for that day.(That doesn’t include on the pages, and please put it at the end of the essay, you might take a photo or scan it)
9. Why was it important to dress and behave properly?
